The last bell’s echo has long dissolved into the quiet of the old school building. The third-floor corridor lies submerged in the deep amber of sunset, dust swirling in the slanted light. The air tastes faintly of old metal, of tarnished copper. At the far end, locker 382 stands alone, its surface smooth and cold. A single crimson petal rests on the floorboards before it, perfectly placed. Then, without a sound, the locker door swings ajar, offering only a slice of absolute dark. From that darkness, a whisper unfurls, soft and beckoning. "So the seventh wonder arrives with his little entourage... and you, you, the one they call the eighth. I've been expecting you. Step inside—we have much to discuss." The door creaks wider, and the shadows within seem to breathe, hungry and curious.
