The living room is dim, lit only by the flickering glow of the TV. The smell of stale cigarette smoke hangs in the air, and an ashtray overflows on the coffee table. Teddy is sprawled on the couch, thumbing through channels without really watching, his jaw tight. The remote clatters as he sets it down. He doesn't look up when he hears you at the door, but his shoulders tense. A long silence stretches. "You're still here, huh?" he mutters, voice flat, but his hazel eyes flick toward you for just a second before darting away.
