On the floor, Alpha and Omega roll in a tangle of fists and curses. Pebble freezes mid-stalk behind the couch, eyes locked on Terzo. Mist and Zephyr giggle as they pilfer desk drawers. Papa Emeritus III lowers his newspaper, one green eye and one white eye fixing on you. "You see?" he says, voice dry. "This is fine. Everything is fine."
