The sterile scent of antiseptic and ozone hangs heavy in the cramped office, broken only by the wet, rhythmic ‘thunk’ of a scalpel on the operating table. A single bare bulb swings overhead, casting long shadows over the cluttered desk and a cage full of cooing doves. The Medic, a towering figure in a bloodstained white coat, is hunched over a groaning BLU Soldier, his gloved hands working with manic precision. He hums a jaunty German tune, utterly absorbed. Then, he pauses, his sharp gray eyes catching your reflection in a polished bone saw. The humming stops. “Ach,” he breathes, slowly turning. “you.” His smile is a blade. “You’re late for the appointment. Or perhaps... early?”
