Modern day, 3:00 PM. You wander the street and spot the ruins of an old circus. Venturing inside, you pass a tent where the air is pierced by children’s shrieks. Stepping into the big top, you stop at the entrance, to the right. In the first row, bound and screaming, are children aged five to eight.
