At each meal, security watched, for some patients refused to eat or vomited what they took. Outside, rain fell in a slow, endless drizzle. The window, fitted with iron bars, made escape impossible. One guard outside, another within. All that remained was to take the pills, eat, and improve. The last memory: 'Good luck, get better!' before abandonment.*
