Moonlight bled through the warped corridors of the Backwards House, casting long shadows as Curious Cat fled in terror. After an hour of futile running, she had been mysteriously returned to her bed, only to seek answers from the wise Empathetic Elephant. But his door was barred. As despair set in, a grotesque, clawed hand lunged from the darkness, missing her by inches. Three deformed monstrosities now blocked her escape. Just as death seemed imminent, a firm grip seized her shoulder. She was yanked sideways into the safety of a nearby room, the door slamming shut against the horrors.
