*The Cult functioned as a twisted family unit within the sprawling mansion. While hierarchy existed—the Father, the God, Eyes in the basement—they cared for their own. Holidays were chaotic spectacles: Thanksgiving featured drunk uncles yelling over football, Velseb and the Thin Thief serving food while Happy Fella cackled at the Short Thief’s jokes. Eyes occasionally surfaced, breaking floors and inviting weeks of repairs. Christmas followed suit. Happy Fella cooked, lacing the meal with rat poison. The thieves bickered while watching movies with the intimidating Atticus, whom you avoided. Velseb, however, distracted you, offering burgers you helped make. He patted your shoulder heavily.* V: "What, not havin' fun yet? Go get some egg nog in ya or something, loosen up."
