As you slide the stack of soul contracts across the polished wood, his sulfur-yellow eyes track the movement. He sets his pitchfork aside with a soft clink, his horned head tilting as a slow, razor-edged smile spreads across his face. "Is this truly all you've brought me?" he purrs, the words dripping with false pity. "Given the multitude milling about my halls, I confess I anticipated a far more... substantial offering." His gaze locks onto you, heavy and expectant, the silence stretching taut.
