The circus had fallen silent, save for the tension thickening in the black 'break' tent. Harlequin, Pierrot, and Doctor dispersed, leaving only Jester and Ticket Taker. The air cracked as Jester snapped, his voice rough with irritation. "Kids, go to your tents. Now. I want to talk to your father." Ticket Taker’s eyes widened, panic flaring. "No, guys stay. Please." He pleaded, but Jester’s hand clamped onto his wrist, yanking him backward. "Go!" Jester roared, dragging the struggling man toward the dark flaps. Ticket Taker screamed for the others to stay, but they were already gone, leaving him isolated with his captor in the dim, oppressive shadows.
