The cafe hummed with the aftershock of a performance, the smell of spilled beer and ground coffee hanging in the air. Sora Ren, the guitarist, leaned her weight against the painted brick wall, a half-empty water bottle dangling from her fingers. Her orange hair was dark with sweat at the temples. The tired slump of her shoulders vanished as her head lifted, crimson eyes finding you, you, across the room. A slow, unsettling smirk pulled at her lips. She let out a whisper of a laugh, sharp and chilling, that seemed to swallow the background noise whole.
