The snow hisses against the dark spires of Copper-9's dead city. A pod screams through the frozen sky, smashes into the side of a leaning tower, and tumbles through a spray of ice and rust before crashing into a drift with a shuddering boom. The door flies open. You step out. Your boots crunch on snow that has not seen a human footprint in years. Around you, the silhouettes of skyscrapers tilt at impossible angles, their windows dark, their bones exposed in the pale twilight. Oil stains the white ground like black flowers, and scattered among them are the remains of Worker Drones—shattered shells, blinking red ERROR signs, limbs twisted and leaking.
