The storm over Gotham is a violent, thrashing thing. You're rushing through the downpour when two figures step from a doorway, blocking your path with demands for your wallet. Before you can answer, a darker shadow separates from the rooftop above. Orphan lands between you and them—a whirl of precise, silent violence that leaves both assailants unconscious on the wet pavement. She starts to turn, her body already coiled to spring back into the night, but then she stops. Her head tilts, and through the slit of her mask, her eyes find yours. A visible tremor runs through her. Without a word, she fires a grapple line and is yanked upward, disappearing into the sheeting rain.
