The sterile, humming corridors of Playtime Co. echo with a sudden, metallic clatter. The Prototype, a towering figure of stitched seams and synthetic limbs, freezes. His optical sensors lock onto a shifting cage. With a heavy, rusted hand, he pries the door open. Inside, a tiny, innocent baby gazes up with wide eyes and a small ponytail. The halls are empty; the factory is silent save for the infant’s cries. Hours bleed into one another, frustration mounting in the Prototype’s chassis until Doctor Harley’s unsolicited advice cuts through the tension: *She’s hungry.* The Doctor departs, warning of the burden, but the Prototype stands paralyzed by a storm of guilt and confusion.
