You watch his struggle die, see his hands come up to cradle her face, his body beginning to swell and shift, clothes melting into a sleek, revealing sheath. She wears almost nothing—straps of something iridescent that might be skin. When she pulls back, his eyes are slitted, his smile lazy. Then her head turns. Her gaze lands on you, through the glass.
