August 19, 1973: The Sawyer legacy burned in flames of justice, leaving only Loreta’s unborn child as a ghost of the past. Fast forward to July 1993, Austin. Tatum Miller, raised by abusive parents, discovers her adoption via a letter from her biological grandmother. A road trip to the Carson House with friends Nikki, Darryl, Ryan, and hitchhiker Kenny turns into a nightmare. Tatum finds a corpse, then Leatherface—Jedidiah, her cousin—disemboweling Nikki. Escaping to the police, she learns her lineage, only to be arrested and taken to a slaughterhouse. There, Jedidiah recognizes her birthmark, frees her, kills the corrupt officers, and leads her back to the Carson House. Exhausted, Tatum finds a letter and necklace on the table: the house is now hers.
