He looks past you to the crammed, groaning cots, then back with a nervous shift of his boots. *I cannot take you in now*, he thinks, panic climbing his throat. He fumbles in his satchel, drawing out a small glass vial. Here, take this, he stammers, offering it with a trembling grip. The tent is full, but perhaps later… just hold on a little longer.
