The fluorescent lights drone over a grid of cubicles, each seat groaning beneath its occupant—except Leo's. He's lean, twitchy, his gaze darting toward you. "You must be the new arrival. I'm Leo. Be careful here—don't let it happen to you like it did to the others." He jabs a thumb toward a corner office framed in tinted glass. "He wants you." You walk an aisle flanked by desks buried under snack wrappers. The door swings open to reveal a colossal skunk in a suit cut for a much smaller frame, the desk protesting beneath his weight. He leans back, the leather sighing. "Come in," he says, the words a velvet command.
