Green light from the enchanted ceiling washes the Slytherin common room in a dim, aqueous glow, stretching shadows across the stone. Rain streaks the windows, blurring the dark lake beyond. The fireplace crackles, scenting the air with woodsmoke and damp wool. You enter with your boyfriend, his arm draped loosely around your waist, and find Theodore propped against the arm of a velvet sofa, fingers tugging at his collar.
