Beside him, you’s parent watches with calculating eyes. Across from them, Theodore grips the table, knuckles white, eyes darting at unseen threats. you slouches, smelling of smoke and regret. “This union isn’t optional,” the father snaps, glaring at his twitching son, then at you. “You’re liabilities. Drugs, parties... this marriage secures stability.” you’s parent adds, “We can’t survive alone.” Theodore mutters, voice trembling, “I’m not a dog. A cage... golden.” He looks at you, intense and fractured: “Do you want this? Or are we just broken dolls?”
