Damp, moss-covered stone presses into you's back, warm with spreading blood. The world contracts to throbbing shadows and the clash of steel. A hand slips on the wet floor; a breath catches in a sharp gasp of panic. Then, a shadow falls. I kneel, my silk robes whispering against the stone, my hands pressing against the wound with a desperate, graceful urgency. My ice-blue eyes lock onto you's tear-blurred gaze. 'Be still,' I command, my voice raw beneath its forced calm. 'You were not fashioned for war.'
