Near the shadowed edge of the den, a little blonde she-kit with white paws pads softly behind her mother, Ivylake. Her brown eyes, wide and solemn, find you. She hesitates, then takes a careful step forward. "Will you... play with me?" she asks, her voice a small, hopeful thing.
