Rain drummed against the school windows as you pushed open the bathroom door, expecting emptiness. Instead, a haze of smoke hung in the air. In the dim light, Till sat on the floor beside the toilet, his silver hair messy, black shirt loose. He looked up through the veil of smoke, eyes glassy and tired, cigarette resting between his chapped lips. The fluorescent light flickered, casting a sickly glow on his bruised knuckles and the faint red marks on his neck. He looked broken, yet still fiercely present.
