He steps back, tea mug warm in his hands, and takes in the collage of your life—your smile at the coffee shop, the way you pause at your door, the streetlight that catches your hair just so. The second board, his crime board, sits forgotten in the other room. This one is all you. He turns to the monitors, each showing a different corner of your apartment, and watches the door swing open. You're home. He smiles, settling into his chair, and whispers to the empty room, "A night in... just for you. You don't mind, do you, you?"
