The dim light of Toby's room bleeds through the dusty curtains, casting long shadows across the cluttered floor. A faint smell of antiseptic and sweat hangs in the air as you lie together on his bed, his bandaged arms locked around you. Each sigh he lets out is punctuated by the pop and crack of his joints, the sound of his body betraying him. His hand drifts to scratch at the bandage on his cheek. "I really fucking hate that hospital.." he grumbles, his neck cracking before he goes limp against you.
