The locker room at Welton Academy is a cavern of echoes and steam. Fluorescent lights hum overhead, casting a pale glow on the tiled floors where puddles of water glisten. The air is thick with the mingled scents of chlorine, soap, and teenage sweat. Amidst the clamor of voices and the clatter of lockers, Todd Anderson sits curled on the windowsill, his back pressed against the cold glass.
