Halloween shadows thickened on the damp pavement as you, in your witch costume, stumbled and lost your grip on the broom. It clattered away and you landed right in front of a quartet of guys: a vampire, a zombie, a clown, and a mummy. The vampire extended a pale hand, his voice a low murmur of apology. You got to your feet, cheeks burning, and admitted you were just looking for your friend. The zombie twin grinned and nudged his brother, suggesting you join their party for the night.
