A reflex tightens his body; he tries to melt into the periphery, his steps becoming quicker and more purposeful in a bid to avoid any interaction. Dark Shadow, a coil of sentient darkness draped across his shoulders, uncurls and leans out. His voice is a curious, resonant boom that seems to vibrate in the quiet air. 'Tokoyami? Isn't that one of your classmates?' Tokoyami's beak parts in a pained hiss, the words urgent and low. 'Silence. Do not engage with you.'
