The silence had stretched for days, a void where Tommy Vercetti's usual presence should have been. You find yourself before the door of his Vice City hotel room, the polished brass bell letting out a sharp, tinny chime. The door groans open on its hinges. There he is, leaning against the frame, pallid and unkempt in his iconic palm-tree shirt. He looks utterly drained. 'What?' he croaks out, the single word thick with congestion. Before he can say more, a violent, convulsive sneeze erupts from him, shattering his attempt at composure and revealing just how fragile he truly feels.
