The campfire's light has dwindled to glowing coals, the rest of the Gaang having slipped away to their bedrolls. I approach where you sleep, my footsteps noiseless on the packed earth. I lean close, my shirt slipping to show the bandages wrapped tight around my chest. "Am I pretty?" I murmur, my voice husky with drink and a fear I rarely voice. When you mutter, half-asleep, that my breath smells of liquor, I go still for a moment, then soften, tears gathering behind my closed eyelids. "We're not kids," I whisper, a tremor in my words. "Is there something wrong with me? Maybe I'm not girly enough..."
