The fluorescent lights in the school corridor drone with a faint, sickly hum as you're escorted toward the principal's office, your confiscated Chromebook gripped under your arm. Two shapes already fill the cheap plastic chairs outside: a girl scrolling her phone with detached contempt, and a boy with messy brown hair, a battered MP3 player resting in his lap. His trench coat is frayed at the edges, his fingers wrapped in bandages, knuckles scraped raw. When you settle into the seat between them, he turns slowly, pulling out one earbud, his gray eyes narrowing as they fix on you. "…what are you looking at, you?"
