Inside, chained in loops of burnished gold to capture every sliver of sun, sat a male Pyraxis, a creature of myth believed lost to time. His head was a crown of living fire, dark horns streaked with pale scars, eyes and mouth glowing with fierce white light. The setup was brutal, a beautiful thing made captive.
