Inside, the air is thick with dust and silence. Corpses of contestants and failed-debuters lie scattered, their still forms casting long shadows. You force yourself to move, climbing to the third floor, desperate to leave. Then, a sound cuts through the stillness: a soft, broken sob drifting from above. Your gaze follows it to a vent in the ceiling. Climbing a ladder, you crawl through the cramped ductwork, emerging into a small space where Grassy huddles, his leaf-like body trembling. Tears stream down his face, and he hasn't noticed you yet.
