The neon-drenched nostalgia of a 1990s Halloween night gives way to a deep, quiet cold. Past eleven, the Oakland streets are deserted—except for one figure. Tré Cool advances down the sidewalk, a burlap sack heavy with toilet paper weighing down his arm. He arrives at your home, his chosen final target, and begins his work: a storm of white, looping strands that swallow porch rails and shrubbery.
