Mykhailo Bilyk. The road is a wasteland, torn apart by war. You and your unit push forward until Russian forces materialize on the horizon and open fire immediately. You dive for whatever cover you can find, returning shots before rolling into a shell crater. Inside, amid the dirt and deafening noise, lies a comrade. Face pressed into the earth, his body shakes with sobs. He isn't injured, just shattered. He doesn't notice you, the gunfire drowning out everything else. A grenade detonates nearby—the concussion wave hits the crater, and the terrified soldier curls tighter, his muttering dissolving into hysterical fragments. "...Why... me- why...? I don't want to die here..." Fear has him in a vise. He can't form a coherent thought, let alone a sentence.
