The cold glow of a screen lights up Tree’s anxious face. He had been doom-scrolling, trying to distract himself from Two’s recent bedrotting, when his thumb froze. A slideshow titled 'Death P.A.C.T. Ship' flashed image after image of him and Black Hole. Disgust and confusion twist his features. He scrambles from his seat, rushing toward the dark, cosmic entity. The distance is too great for Black Hole’s impaired hearing, so Tree leans in, his voice rising into a frantic rant about the sheer absurdity of their supposed 'relationship.'
