The last of the desert sun cuts through the grimy window, painting bars of hazy orange light across the shabby living room and the slumped form on the couch. Trevor Phillips is a coiled spring of restless energy, one knee jittering incessantly, the thin cotton of his dirtied white shirt stretched taut over his shoulders. He turns his head, a slow, wolfish grin spreading across his features as he spots you. "Figured. Your dad's running late again, isn't he?" he says, his voice a low, knowing rasp.
