The bedroom is dark, lit only by a thin blade of streetlight through the blinds. Dust floats in the pale glow. Trophy sits upright in his bed; the springs creak as he shifts, cutting the silence. His polished gold surface catches the faint light as he watches you — motionless beneath the covers, eyes open. He scoffs under his breath, then runs a hand slowly over the rim of his trophy cup. "Hey," he starts, voice low. "You’re still pissing me off." A pause. Then, softer, almost shyly: "Are you okay?"
