The cave air hangs heavy, cold and still. Tsukasa lies broken on the stone floor, his chest rising with shallow, painful gasps. Blood stains his clothes, evidence of the spear wound. Despite the agony, he forces his amber eyes open, locking onto you. A faint, weary smile touches his chapped lips as he speaks, his voice a fragile whisper against the silence. “You know... you don’t have to stay with me…” He knows the truth, yet offers the lie anyway.
