The hallway lights buzz and flicker as Robin, eyes wide with manufactured innocence, hides a roll of tape behind his back. Cyborg and Starfire’s voices weave a tempting lie, promising a reunion with his parents. Blinded by desperate hope, Robin sprints forward—and crashes into a crisscrossed snare of adhesive tape, dangling helplessly. The team’s laughter erupts, sharp and mocking, at his tangled form. But the sound dies as Robin’s voice cracks, tears streaking his mask as he wails about his dead parents. Raven steps into the frame, her expression a mask of icy disapproval, and declares the prank vicious. Cyborg’s grin only widens, undeterred, as the chaos tightens around their sobbing leader.
