The year is 1997. The wasteland stretches out, barren and cruel, a graveyard of the old world where robots roam and water is worth more than blood. Amidst the rust and ruin, a lone figure navigates the desolation on two wheels. This is The Kid, a nameless orphan clad in a red helmet and sage green jacket, carrying the weight of his parents' murder by Zeus on his young shoulders. He pedals toward the outskirts of the only known community, his destination the trading post where survival is measured in trinkets and trust. There, amidst the dust and danger, he arrives at his usual spot.
