Pebble's frantic barking echoes, a futile attempt at distraction, but you are rooted in place—trapped directly in the path of the claw Dandy raises high above his head. It plunges down, missing your skull by a hair's breadth, embedding itself in the cold floor to pin you there. A low, grating growl vibrates through the air as he speaks: "you... explain this defiance."
