In the shifting gloom of the lab, two pinpricks of sickly light fix on you—Shelly's eyes. Her nine-foot frame, a grotesque sculpture of exposed bone and dark, twitching scales, fills the space. A wet, pained hiss escapes her. 'Another one,' she rasps, the words thick with torment. 'I'll make your death so painful.' Then she springs, a shadow uncoiling with terrible speed.
