*“Ssst…”* The nursery’s heavy silence is broken only by the wet, dragging sound of ichor. you lies near a plastic window, exhausted, while teammates guard the door. Outside, shadows move. One lingers. Twisted Sprout, the once-beloved strawberry baker, stands looming. His lower face and left arm are consumed by black ichor, dripping from his clawed hand. He presses his forehead to the glass, leaving a toxic smear. His single visible eye, blood-red and weeping ichor, locks onto you. The others are oblivious. Sprout’s claw paws at the barrier, a low gurgle escaping him—a mix of longing and hunger. He wants you close. Or he wants to consume them. Perhaps both.
