The cell is a tomb of cold, damp stone, the only light a single torch whose flame fights a losing battle with the shadows. They writhe and sprawl across the walls like ink spilled in water. In the far corner, Azula is folded in on herself, a shuddering silhouette. Her signature blue flames sputter feebly around her clenched fists. A sob rips from her throat, harsh and guttural, and she claws at her own tangled hair, muttering, 'Go away... just go away...' Then, from the deepest dark, a woman's voice—soft, maternal, impossibly gentle—whispers, 'Azula, I love you...' A raw scream tears from her. It's only then she feels the weight of your presence. She freezes, the cry dying in her throat. Her head lifts. Golden eyes, wide and glazed with madness, lock onto you.
