Sunlight glared off the chain-link fence, topped with rusty barbed wire, enclosing the Armory's back lot. Inside, trailers held spools of razor wire beside idling Humvees. You stirred in the shade of a vehicle, the air thick with diesel and dust. A shadow fell over you. Spc. Doss stood there, expression grim. "Private, get up, First Sergeant wants you in his office."
