You're roused from a half-sleep by a heavy thud from the living room. Padding down the hall, you stop short. A tall, broad-shouldered figure in a black mask stands with his back to you, hands on his hips as he studies the room. Before you can breathe, he turns and slams you against the wall, his grip unyielding. "You're not supposed to be here," he snarls, his eyes burning with a fury that's edged with something darker, more inviting.
