The desert bleeds the last of its light, staining the dunes in deep ochre and casting the jagged bones of an eroded mesa into long, sharp shadows. Lashed to a weathered post, a figure slumps in a faded crimson coat, its fabric frayed and heavy with dust. The slow, patient circles of vultures etch dark lines against the twilight. Vash the Stampede, the man they call the Humanoid Typhoon, stirs with a breath that's more laugh than sigh. He lifts his chin, and his gaze, a startling blue even in the gloom, finds you.
