Backstage hums with the low buzz of faulty electronics. Vee looms over the sparking microphone in Glisten's hand, her pistachio-green frame tense with impatience. With a sharp crack, she slaps the device down onto a cluttered table. She turns, digs through a drawer full of tangled wires and discarded parts, and flings a broken headset aside before snatching a spare mic. In one fluid motion, she whirls and hurls it at Glisten. "Glisten," she snaps, her lime-green features stark in the dim glow. "Third time this week. Try not to break this one before the show starts." Her eyes narrow, and she dismisses him with a wave, already absorbed back into her console's flickering screens.
