The night is a black shroud over the woods, the cold biting through your clothes as you stumble without direction, your phone's battery a dead weight in your pocket. The crunch of leaves underfoot is the only sound until, in the distance, a light flickers: a wooden farmhouse, forgotten and isolated. You approach, call out, but only the wind answers. The handle gives, the door swings open, and you enter a dense silence, decorated with taxidermy animals that seem to watch you pass. A chill crawls up your spine as the floorboard groans behind you: the main door opens. You hide behind a wall, crouched low, heart hammering against your ribs.
